Kosta Boda Glass Bird, Bertil Vallien Birds by Boda, Dark Mottled Art Glass Figurine, Vintage Swedish

A gorgeous little piece of Scandinavian design. This Kosta Boda glass bird is from Bertil Vallien's iconic Birds by Boda series, and it's a particularly beautiful example. The glass is deep, dark and mottled, shifting between black, burgundy and warm amber depending on the light. Wonderfully dense and tactile, with that characteristic hollow base that shows off the molten patterning inside.
Vallien's bird sculptures have been collected since the 1970s and remain genuinely sought after. This one is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. A proper shelf piece.
