Large Signed Australian Studio Pottery Bowl, Terracotta and Midnight Glaze, Vintage

A really beautiful piece of Australian studio pottery. This wide, shallow bowl is glazed in two distinct halves, a warm terracotta brown on one side and a deep midnight black on the other, with a vivid cobalt blue running along the divide where the two meet. The contrast is bold and graphic, almost painterly.
It sits on a small foot ring and has a lovely wide flared rim. The glaze is high quality throughout and in perfect condition. Signed to the base with a flowing studio mark, with Australia stamped below.
At 28cm across it has real presence. Works beautifully as a fruit bowl, a display piece or just sitting on a shelf doing what good ceramics do.
