Vintage Sommerso Art Glass Basket, Amber and Blue Hand Blown, Murano Style, 1960s-70s

A dramatic hand blown art glass basket in warm amber sommerso with a sweeping blue glass handle, arching elegantly over the open form. The combination of the honey amber body and the cool blue arch gives the piece a real sculptural tension, two colours that shouldn't work together but absolutely do.
18cm tall, 18cm wide, 8cm deep. Substantial and beautifully balanced.
No maker's mark. Attributed as Murano style based on the sommerso technique, form, and quality of the glass.
