Vintage Sommerso Art Glass Bowl, Cobalt Blue and White Opaline, Murano Style, 1960s-70s

A clean and beautifully made sommerso art glass bowl in cobalt blue encased in a milky white opaline outer layer. The contrast between the vivid blue interior and the soft white exterior gives the piece a quiet, graphic quality that works in almost any setting.

The form is low and rounded with a gently lobed rim, sitting solidly on a flat base. Simple, well proportioned and very pleasing to handle.

12cm wide, 6cm tall. No maker’s mark. Attributed as Murano style based on the sommerso technique and quality of the glass.
