Sterling Silver Bracelet by Matti J. Hyvärinen (MJH) — Lapponia Era, Finland, 1970s

A rare find from one of Finland's most collectible modernist jewellery designers. This bracelet was made by Matti J. Hyvärinen (MJH) in the 1970s — a period that sits at the heart of Scandinavian silver design.
The construction is articulated panel, with alternating smooth and deeply striated surfaces that give it an almost geological quality. Substantial on the wrist but well-balanced, it closes with a concealed hinge and safety chain.
Hallmarked internally with the MJH designer mark, Finnish assay marks, and "Made in Finland." Sterling silver 925.
Light vintage wear consistent with age. No damage or structural issues.
